A ground breaking virtual reality motion simulator at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Battle for Eire revolutionizes the application of VR in theme parks. DreamCraft was contracted by CAVU Designwerks to provide the VR hardware and software solutions for this attraction to create a unique experience that hadn’t been done before; integrating virtual reality with a large scale motion simulator.
DreamCraft was responsible for designing a VR control system which coordinated everything related to the VR media including programming the ride control system, tracking, cable management and the VR hardware.
DreamCraft’s DreamSet™ is the world’s first hygienic head-mounted display adaptation for use on VR attractions, in which the VR display separates from a washable portion worn on the guest’s head. The headset provides theme parks with an efficient, easy-to-use hygienic solution to maintain throughput. People realize quickly how to fit the VR headset, tighten it and attach the Enchanted Lens, which is held in place with a magnet system. Getting the headset on and off is incredibly smooth and fast which translates to ease of operations and increased throughput.
Battle for Eire is the best application of Virtual Reality executed in a theme park setting today.
